User License
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and any agreement entered into by your institution relating to the Products, EduBeyond grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, license to access and use the Products. You shall not (a) copy the Product or any part, feature, function or user interface thereof (b) use the Product to store or transmit infringing, libelous, or otherwise unlawful or tortious material, or to store or transmit material in violation of third-party privacy rights (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Product or its related systems or networks; and (d) reverse engineer the Product (to the extent such restriction is permitted by law). You agree, further, not to use or attempt to use any engine, software, tool, agent or other device or other mechanism (including without limitation browsers, spiders, robots, avatars or intelligent agents) to navigate or search the Products or Content. By clicking on buttons such as "Submit" and "Sign up", you are acknowledging that you intend to provide your signature for the documents in question, and clicking the respective buttons will serve as your signature.
Personal Information
"Personal information" is any information that can be used to identify a specific person: example, your name, address, birth date, gender, etc. EduBeyond may ask you for personal information to set up a partnership between a student and a tutor that best fits both parties.
Consent to Communication By entering your contact information via forms provided by the EduBeyond website, you are acknowledging that we may also contact you on platforms such as, but not limited to, Email, text, messengers, and discord. The nature of the communication includes, but not limited to, upcoming opportunities, information regarding tutoring sessions, withdrawal, and concerns. Consent to communications can be withdrawn through contacting EduBeyond.
Liability Clause
EduBeyond is not responsible for any incidental, consequential, nominal, or punitive damages. Through the use of our services, you agree to release EduBeyond and its tutors from any liability which may occur from mistakes and misinformation during tutor sessions, as well as any lost data or other intangible losses.
Warranties
The service is used at your own risk. By using our service, you agree that EduBeyond has not expressed or implied warranties of any kind. EduBeyond disclaims warranties of any kind, both expressed and implied.
EduBeyond disclaims warranties stating that (i) the service will suit your personal needs, (ii) the service and its tutors will remain error-free, (iii) the service will not be interrupted and remain available at all times, (iv) you will be satisfied with the quality of the service, materials, and information offered, (v) errors with the service will be corrected, (vi) the service will offer makeup sessions if the student fails to inform us of his/her absence 24 hours before the session time.
Use of third parties
EduBeyond will never share your information with anyone other than those within the EduBeyond organization.
Links to other websites
EduBeyond's website contains links to websites owned and operated by other organizations. They may have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions and are not governed by this policy. Please take caution and review the privacy policy and terms and conditions of the other websites you visit.
User Consent
By providing personal information to EduBeyond, you allow consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this policy. If at any point you want us to stop using your personal information, please contact us and we will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
If requested, you may view and have corrections made to the personal information we have received from you. If you want to remove all of your information from our databases, please contact us and we will respond as soon as we can.
Adult supervision
During tutor sessions over a video calling website, there must be a parent or guardian present in the session if the student is under the age of 18 years old. Unless verbal and written consent is given by the parent or guardian to allow their child to be on their own with the tutor, adult supervision is in full effect. This is to ensure the child's safety and to keep the tutor liable for their actions during a session.
What Information We Share
It is possible that at some time, EduBeyond may ask to use a statement, a review, or a photo of you. This will never be done without your consent and will be asked through some form of communication. There will be nothing more than a name and/or an age.
We do not sell or exchange email addresses with other organizations. Your information will be kept between those within the EduBeyond organization.
Any data we share will not contain or be used for the following: (i) insults or defamation, (ii) threats of violence, (iii) frightening information or contents of cyberbullying.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
EduBeyond will not collect any identifiable information from individuals under the age of 18 without the consent of the child's parents or guardians. If there are any concerns regarding the personal information of a minor, please contact us and we will remove and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Data Collection
By using the EduBeyond app, you are giving consent for the internal use your learning results to aid the optimization of the EduBeyond app.
Right to Be Forgotten
In accordance with the 2008 EIT Law, any personal data can be deleted from the EduBeyond database given a direct request from a relevant person.
