The Prompt:

Cherry Blossoms.jpeg

Kobayashi Issa famously said:

“What a strange thing!

to be alive

beneath cherry blossoms.”

Whether on four-leafed clovers or under the sakura petals, change seems to be synonymous with the spring season. This, however, may not be as innocent as it seems. After all, the same vigor the leprechaun hoards his gold with could be what fueled Caesar's Assassination in the Ides of March!

With that in mind...

Write a Poem or Short Story about change, and its effects, predictable or not.
